Learn more about IOLV’s time on Xbox Live, introduction to the Xbox Ambassadors Program and interest in graphic design in our Q&A below.
I’ve been part of the Xbox Ambassador program since August 2014, but coming up to my 7th year anniversary on Xbox Live. Although I’ve spent much longer than that playing Xbox as a kid with my brother.
At the moment, the games I’ve been playing are Mass Effect: Andromeda, Overwatch and Halo 5: Guardians. There aren’t too many games in particular that I’m excited for, other than the next main Halo game, Crackdown 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
I originally found out about the Ambassador Program a few years ago after getting an email, but hadn’t paid too much attention to it. After a while I got another email and decided to check it out, since joining they’ve added the Lounge and gave the website a complete overhaul.
I prefer to use Watchtower [the Ambassadors on Twitter tool] when assisting people, as its optimized for mobile devices and on the computer, and doesn’t have the same time constraints as chats [from the Ambassabank] – meaning you have to be there the entire time until the session ends.
One of the first memories of the program I had, was when the Lounge was first introduced, which wasn’t that long after I’d joined the program.
I don’t have a specific art style, since the projects I do often vary, so I never have a consistent theme. I first got into graphic design when I used to mess around with GIMP on my PC, but it wasn’t until I started a Web and Games Development course, that featured Digital Graphics as one of the subjects, that I really started to get into it, leading me to switch course the next year to allow me to be more creative.
