More updates are coming down the pipeline, and with the launch of our new Xbox Ambassador Program website comes enhancements to the program itself. We know that change can be spooky, but we have the utmost confidence that the Ambassador experience will only be enhanced. Winston Churchill once said, “To improve is to change; to be perfect is to change often.” Your team will always keep working to provide you with the best experience possible, that is our promise.
The program updates will provide Ambassadors with a more streamlined and helpful experience. We know that change can be daunting, but your Xbox Ambassador Team is here to help you through every step of the way, but you won’t need us, we think the changes are right up your alley!
XP—while XP will be given similarly to how it is now, we are moving toward rewarding more XP based on the impact you, as an Ambassador, are making on the Xbox community. We’re calling this “reactions.”
Tier names—what’s in a name? Tiers will work the same as they do now, but the names are a changin’. The new tiers will be Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Legendary Top 100.
Badges and pins—are getting a little face-lift.
- Badges are based on activity. As you do more activities and connect to more Xbox gamers, your badges will evolve and grow.
- Pins are rewards and recognition for awesome things that you’ve done. For example, your academy honors will be turned into pins. Pins will be rewarded the same way they are today—based on what you achieved during a certain season. The program will reward pins more frequently based on Ambassador achievements.
Missions—you no longer have to accept missions, woo! Your Ambassador activities will always count toward available missions so you have the best chance at stacking up rewards.
Sweepstakes—more than ever! We will be running multiple sweepstakes at a time, giving you the chance to pick and choose where you allocate your tickets. You will also get to see upcoming sweepstakes so you can get more tickets before it goes live.
Rewards—will have a new look and feel. Oh, and you’ll also be able to redeem all your rewards and winnings via the website rather than back and forth emailing.
Video Gallery—will be much more polished. Xbox is looking to use video content more throughout all Xbox channels, including but not limited to, Xbox Assist, Microsoft stores, and so much more. With the launch of the new website, video content will be more valuable than ever!
In case you didn’t know, the open beta is now here, and we’re looking to you and your fellow Ambassadors to get in there and play around! Not all pages are currently present, but more pages will be added to the beta as soon as they’re available. With your help, we can find ways to make this website even better! Make sure to provide lots of feedback, your perception and feedback is insanely valuable, and we appreciate it.
A friendly few reminders:
Join the open beta—make sure to click “Join Xbox Ambassadors (Beta)” at the top left, at which point a pop-up window will appear. Then click “Become an Ambassador”. All information is mock, and we are aware the bullet points are different than our current eligibility requirements—they’re not changing.
July 1 is the day that our new website will launch, and it will be here before we know it—we have a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks.
Please use the hashtag #AmbassadorsLevelUp and tag us at @XboxAmbassadors when talking about the new website on social media. If you have something awesome to say we will totally ask if we can repost you on all our social media platforms! This is big, y’all, so let’s have some fun! We’re excited, are you excited?
